Would help to have resources for single moms with utilities in Charleston. The Human Services Commission is the Community Service Organization that controls most of the money and they are so hard to get through to. They won’t accept walk ins. I waited on the phone for 2 hours and 45 minutes yesterday. It started out with 11 people ahead of me, when down to 6 ahead of me and stayed there for 2 hours 15 minutes. How expensive that gets when using a payphone or how many minutes that uses up on a minute cell. Those of us who really need help that cannot afford unlimited phone service have the hardest time trying to reach anyone. I have never been able to get through for help there. To give them credit they have changed the system to try to improve things.
